Christmas Scrapbook
8 journalers for this copy...
My sister had a massive clear out which was great for me as I got lots of books!
This book has been in either mine or my sisters possession since we were kids and I don't think we've ever read it before!
This book explains how Christmas traditions came about and was a very festive read for this time of year! Learned some facts I never knew, for example, eating Turkeys is down to Henry VIII! It's also illustrated with some wonderful Victorian Christmas cards.
A great factual Christmas read!

I love Christmas. And I love getting Christmas parcels. And I especially love getting Christmas parcels that contain books. And even more so when they're accompanied with all sorts of other goodies, including edible ones :-) Thank you very much, Deltic - very much appreciated!
Greetings and a Very Happy Christmas to you and MrsDeltic and all this book's previous readers. What a very good BookCrossing history it's acquired already!

Thank you, again. I enjoyed looking through this feast of facts and figures relating to Christmas, admiring the old illustrations as I went :-) I'll probably pass it to tree-hugger over Christmas.
To tree-hugger, with love and Happy Christmas greetings :-)

This was a very interesting book to read at Christmas time. There was a lot I didn't know. I'll be extending my Christmas season to include all the other nearby special dates it turns out I could reasonably self-indulge on.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
To a BookCrossing friend who doesn't want any more books to read - but I'm hoping she'll enjoy looking through these illustrations anyway . . .
Received in the post today from Nu-Knees as a RABCK along with 3 other unexpected books. Thanks very much. I'm very interested in Christmas traditions (especially carols, and those who know me well will understand why!) so will look forward to reading this one. However I may leave it until nearer the Christmas season.

This book will be given to Plum-Crazy. Sorry I forgot to journal it after I recently read it. It was full of interesting facts, several of which I didn't know previously.
To the finder:-
Welcome to bookcrossing -you have found a travelling book. Please make a journal entry now to say where you found the book in case it has been moved. Then, when you have read it, please come back and make a further entry saying whether or not you enjoyed the book and why. It is now yours to do as you like with it, pass it to a friend or just leave it somewhere different for someone else to find and help it with its' journey. Of course if you can't bear to part with it at the moment then keep it, but please let me know that you have found it. If you join bookcrossing, which is free and spam-free, you can follow the book on its' travels as you will get an email each time it changes hands, but if you prefer to remain anonymous, that's fine too. Please also say what you intend to do with the book next. Thanks for coming onto the site to let me know you have found the book.
I already have books travelling in many countries around the world-a list can be found on my bookcrossing profile.
When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.
