Novel based on the blockbuster film Elizabeth. A good read, but if you've seen the movie first, you can't escape seeing Cate Blanchett throughout the novel talking as Elizabeth!

This is a REALLY good book!!!! It starts with Elizabeth's imprisonment in the Tower of London at age 22, and goes through her life until Robert Dudley commits the final treasonable betrayal, and we see the emergence of the bald, bewigged white-as-snow faced Queen Elizabeth 1. What a story.....!
