from the back cover:
Willa Drake has had three opportunities to start her life over: in 1967, as a schoolgirl whose mother has suddenly disappeared; in 1977, when considering a marriage proposal; and in 1997, as a young widow trying to hold her family together. So she is surprised in 2017 when, after receiving a startling phone call from a stranger, she is given one last chance to change everything.

Just arrived in the mail today. Can't wait to read it! :)
While I liked this book, it didn't resonate with me much. The early stories -- the backstory chapters -- didn't really seem to have much point to me. The relationships Willa had with her sister, her parents, her husbands were all so superficial to the story. Anne Tyler could have written the entire story in present day and it might have been deeper. And the ending was too abrupt.
Still, I love Anne Tyler's writing. It's so fluid.
