The box arrived late yesterday. Thank you for sending me these books that are like new. I appreciate you thinking of me. What a big surprise to have seven books.

The story continues with Maise solving one case which leads into different threads. The author brings today's values and mindset into the story with Maise always being right and correct in her thinking. She does get involved in a town that is cloaked in secrecy. I do enjoy the quotes in the beginning of the book especially the one by Josh Billings (U.S. humorist) -- "There is no revenge so complete as forgiveness."
