Ah, bill Bryson... if you haven't read anything by him yet... do! He is the sort of writer that has you giggling and snorting to yourself and disturbing other people on the bus/train/plane you are travelling on.
This particular book is a collection of newspaper columns he wrote when he moved back to the USA from England. It's mainly about finding out that the country isn't quite as he remembered it in the rose-coloured glasses of nostalgia... but in such a funny way :)
