Set in 1987, this book is a moving portrayal of a teenage girl dealing with the loss of her beloved Uncle to AIDS. It is however, also about art and family connection and growing up strange. Although the subject matter is sad, there is a lot of humor and joy in this book as well. Highly recommended.

Sorry, Vickivav! You gave me this book months ago and it took me this long to log it in. Still haven't read it yet, but hope I'll get a chance soon!
