This should be good--I love the whole Mallory series.
It's difficult to say why I love this series so much; the writing can sometimes be lurid, garish, or just downright strange, but it doesn't seem to matter. In the end, Kathy Mallory is such a compelling character that I become totally engrossed in her story. Detective Riker and Charles Butler are such sympathetic characters, so devoted to her despite the fact that she gives them nothing in return for their love.
This book in particular took my breath away with its conclusion, because it was so unexpected. I would highly, highly recommend reading this series in order, though--I doubt this book would resonate nearly as much with someone unfamiliar with Mallory's history. And I'm so glad I stumbled upon this book--I thought Dead Famous was the only one I had't read until I saw it at the bookstore. Now I really want to read the latest in the series...

Removed from the Around the World bookbox which arrived safely this morning. Thankyou!
I couldn't get into this at all. It's probably a good book, but I guess I'm not really a thriller reader anymore.
