I liked the style of this one and most of the plot (except the serpent!). Will be interesting to see what you make of this bookfrogster :)

I really liked this one too Brunton11. Very different to her first novel. I enjoy books set in the Victorian period (whether written then or now) so this was right up my street. I thought the characters were a very interesting bunch, and there was so much going on with everyone. I liked that the ending wasn't too neatly tied up as well.

Very evocative. This book prompted a stranger to speak to me on the tube to tell me how much he enjoyed it. And I got so engrossed today I missed two tube stops.
