This book was originally given to me by an old high school friend. I enjoyed it since it's a pleasant story about how lives can intertwine and everyone benefits from these relationships. The bookart on my book is quite different from this picture. I will be happy to release this book.

Released on Sunday, August 04, 2002 at Gerrard & Church St. in Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Will be left at the southwest corner on the concrete ledge between 11:15-11:30 am.

The book was still there when I walked by it 25 minutes later. But, strangely, someone had put an empty cigarette box on top of it right where the post-it note was. In protest?!?!

The book is definitely not there anymore. It must have been picked up within hours of leaving it.

En route to replenish the cat food supplies yesterday (March 13/04) I popped into the Cabbagetown Goodwill on Gerrard St and found an overwhelming abundance of really good, just arrived books. I had the cat food to carry so I restrained myself, but had a look at the Maeve Binchy just to see what it was up to. It was a paperback, but huge, so I had no intention of getting it. But there inside the front cover was a Bookcrossing sticker. What could I do! I snagged it for $1.50. I am sure the cats will understand if supplies of food are a little low this week.

I will certainly read it over the next couple of months and then send it off on its way again.

It is interesting that in 1 1/2 years the book only managed to travel from Gerrard and Church to Gerrard and Parliament.

I read this a lot sooner than I thought I would. I had two library books and a loan from a friend that should have come first. But I dipped into Evening Class one early morning and found it perfect for short bursts of reading.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was as comfortable as a warm bath but with enough tension to render it quite un-bland. While it was a fairy tale full of happy endings it was well enough written that it's world seemed entirely believable while immersed and even for a while after.

I've never been a Maeve Binchy fan but I can quite see her appeal and will probably look for more by her. Especially if I feel I'm coming down with something. She'd be a perfect read for a mild illness.

I'll be releasing it soon.
