The Sorrows of an American
2 journalers for this copy...
I just noticed that I have two copies of this book, so I'm going to send this one on its way to other readers.
Because I like Siri Hustvedt's books, I picked this up at one of the public bookshelves in the area. It's a paperback in good condition and the print is quite large.

And right away I found a reader for this book: Ina had it on her wishlist, and we're doing a trade now.

Es zählt außerdem für efells Lesechallenge 2020 in der Kategorie 8. ohne Kapitel
In the beginning I had my difficulties with this book: Too difficult (maybe my English language level was not sufficient), too philosophical, to intellectual. But then it got me and I really started to like it. Maybe not quite as much as Summer without Men, but I liked it.
Some passages of the book remind me at Man in the Dark, and this makes me wonder if two novel being written in the same house at the same time begin to influence each other...
