“All animals are equal… But some animals are more equal than others”

I guess this sentence sums up quite nicely what “Animal Farm” is about. A revolution of animals, which goes wrong when some of them – in this case, the pigs - start adopting the ways of their former oppressors (Man). George Orwell wrote this book as a warning against the Soviet regime but, decades later, it still remains powerful. Always be careful with those that promise an equalitarian society, where the people, in abstract, rule. This may just be the birth of a tyrant nation!

Arrived safely today to northern Portugal. I have read this book a long, long time ago, when I was a highschool student, but my copy got lost somewhere. Now I will re-read it and have my 15 yo read it too. Thanks for the RABCK, Meg72 and for sharing it, BaiLong.

My daughter was very impressed by this book. And I enjoyed remembering some parts of it - I have read it a very long time ago.
