Mildly amusing (bordering on black humour for me) story of Ruth who decides to revenge her husband and his lover. Not sure what message Fay Weldon was trying to convey as revenge went flat once Ruth got her husband out of prison. The pain she went through to surgically change herself into his mistresses' likeness wasn't worth it as he was spaced out when he came to live with her again. Is this about envy or just a feminist rant?

Going to Bookray this together with DVD.

Hilarious to watch because it's sooo 80's! A good interpretation by Ted Whitehead, but terrible acting. Love the Vista Rose promotion, the lighthouse (Belle Tout lighthouse on Beachy Head Clifftop which was moved away from eroding edge and is currently a 'Bed & Breakfast') and the 'extra bits'.

My first Bookray is on it's way to HappyHarryBabe.

The parcel may rattle as the 2nd DVD clip had snapped when it was delivered from Amazon new :-( (well it was in cellophane but you never know!).
I did try to find replacement case amongst our DVDs but none were a double case, so I hope it travels OK.

Picked from Plum' s Random Book Box. I must confess I've read it and really chose it because it came with a DVD of the brilliant TV series, which I can't wait to watch again. I've been singing "Warm Love Gone Cold" since the box arrived!

Just read Choc Brownie' s JE. I'm hoping nostalgia hasn't been playing tricks on me.....
