Exquisite little novel, very joyful to read with a great bunch of characters. The story perhaps drags a little in the middle and I was rushing to get to the end and finished the book with a big smile on my face.
Reserved for Foreign Authors Book Box
Taken out of Kinedi's Foreign Author Bookbox. As my TBR is massive it may be a while until I can get to this.
An unusual little book very different from my normal genres, glad I read it :-)
Going into the Book Ring with Mr, Mrs or Miss in the title.
Received with its companion for the Mr, Mrs and Miss bookring.
That's funny: a translation for a novel written by a Spanish writer, based in Madrid, just like me...
The comment by weegie is quite off-putting, I am never fond of translations, being a translator myself.
I will give it some thinking...

I'm keeping this one. :)
Sent to the winner of the Home Sweet Home sweeps: a novel by a writer born in Galicia, but based on Madrid.
Congrats on winning... and enjoy! :)

The book has arrived, thank you!! By reading the text on the back cover I can't quite tell if it might be too much of romance/chick lit(ish) for me, but being a librarian myself and also quite fond of Spain I will definitely give it a try :)

Thank you so much for sending this wishlist book! I'm looking forward to reading it.
Normally I try to read books somewhat in the order that they arrive, but obviously I made an exception for Miss Prim. The thing is, my kids have the (annoying) habit if falling asleep in the car. Sometimes I plan ahead by taking a book with me, so I can read while the little ones a snoring in their car seats (obviously I do that when parked, not while driving). And so it happened that the first book I grabbed on my way out, was actually the last book that arrived.
The first 50-or-so pages I absolutely loved and thought it was a fun and quirky book. But now I got to page 280 and realised I lost interest about 100-pages ago, so I think I will give up.
It’s a book that makes lots of references to great literature. I liked the characters. Bit the story loses a lot of pace in the middle and I feel like it is just too slow. I’m not going to finish it.
Of course I will try to find a new home for it soon!
