Picked up at a library book sale.
Birdie Cousins is the matriarch of the family, divorced with two adult daughters, Tate and Chess. They are all going through emotional events and Birdie feels a trip to her family home on Tuckernuck Island will help them all. She also invites her sister India.
Tuckernuck is a remote island reachable only by boat. There is no running water or electricity. While there they must face their past and decide what to do in the future.
