Although I love Val McDermid's stand alone novels and the Wire in the Blood series, I don't particularly like this character, Charlotte "Charlie" Flint.

The novel is an interesting enough mystery but the dislike of the main character didn't let me enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed her other novels.
