With her marriage already in pieces, Joyce Conway nearly lost everything else. But she survived the terrible accident that left her hospitalized--and now, inexplicably, she can remember faces she has never seen, cobblestone Parisian streets she's never visited. A sudden, overwhelming sense of deja vu has Joyce feeling as if her life is not her own.

Justin Hitchcock's decision to donate blood was the first thing to come straight from his heart in a long time. He chased his ex-wife and daughter from Chicago to London--and now, restless and lonely, he lectures to bored college students in Dublin. But everything is about to change with the arrival of a basket of muffins with a thank-you note enclosed--the first in a series of anonymous presents that will launch Justin into the heart of a mystery . . . and alter two lives forever

Snaffled off the table at the BookCrossing meeting Sunday as I’m assured by you EdinburghReader it’s a good and fascinating read. I enjoyed Ahern’s ‘The Gift’ and am happy to give this a go and then I have a release plan for it.

Another warm-hearted, modern fairy-tale, from Ahern scripted with her able outwardly light style. In Thanks for the Memories Joyce’s grief propels her along a distressing journey yet it’s also liberating and in due course pleasingly uplifting.

I’ve got two release ideas for this and in the first instance I’ll give the closest one a go…watch this space…

Released 8 yrs ago (6/5/2015 UTC) at Departure Lounge in Edinburgh Airport, -- Airports & Planes -- United Kingdom

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Hurrah! I ‘released’ this into the hands of another reader while I visited Edinburgh Airport last evening.

As I said I had numerous ‘release’ ideas for this, in the first instance; take to Aberdeen and leave on the Official BookCrossing Zone in the Belmont Filmhouse Café, release it on holiday, swap with someone who has this on a wish-list, or instead plump for a swift release…i.e. leave it in an Edinburgh University Campus on Friday afternoon [totally forgot], leave it on a bench in St Andrews Square Garden [it was raining] leave it on a tram seat, [overlooked that as I leapt off the when tram finally came to a stop and whizzed into Edinburgh Airport marvelling at the changes since last I visited] considered leaving it on a table in the Costa Coffee Cafe but was reminded by the sight of armed police that unattended packages at airports don’t always meet with sanguine appreciation so in fact I went with my fifth option of the day. And now a bit of BookCrossing blurb…
