Thanks, erpax! I have enjoyed other books from McEwan, I'm sure I will like this one too.

For some reason it took quite a while to read this book. The story just didn't have that 'something'. I read it in small pieces, at times I even got bored with it. I've really liked some of McEwan's books, this certainly wasn't one of his best.
