Vampire Hunter D: Volume 21: Record of the Blood Battle
1 journaler for this copy...
When a strange machine on the Frontier opens and turns out to contain a Noble known for his cruel experiments, D is hired to take him to the Capital to stand trial. But the vampire claims to have information D wants and offers it up in exchange for some help and protection from his numerous enemies and those who want his inventions.
I picked this volume up at Anime Boston since I'd forgotten to pack anything to read and was going to be sitting in line for the cosplay contest for a couple hours.
This was a mixed book for me, primarily because Baron Macula was terribly annoying. I felt unreasonable gleeful every time D decked him. Plotwise, this is a pretty solid travel adventure and is an interesting look at the Noble's tech.
