A friend of mine who's up on all contemporary pop fiction recommended Evanovich to me. This is her first book, outlining the transformation of down and out New Jersey lingerie sales woman Stephanie Plum (a gem of a name) into an (almost) crack bounty hunter. I'm hooked. Smart, sassy, funny and totally believable. And the villan is truly a goose-bump inducer. Can't wait to get tucked into the next one.

Hilarious and scary. I loved this book and I'm defintely going to look for the rest of the series. I laughed out loud at the scenes with Stephanie's family, but other scenes were downright scary. I'm glad I finally got to read this book.
