How To Be a Woman

'Looks like a seriously funny book. "Engaging, brave and consistently, cleverly, naughtily funny" - The Independent. Also from the back cover: "..part memoir, part rant, Caitlin Moran answers the questions that every modern woman is asking."
This looks like a fun read. Looking forward to it.
This book is bloody hilarious, one of the funniest I've read in a long time. At the same time, Caitlin Moran manages to be extremely spot-on with her comments & criticisms about some of the ways in which women have been rather screwed over (literally and figuratively) for thousands of years, for reasons which, once you take a few moments to look at them objectively, make absolute no frickin' sense whatsoever. (Or perhaps it's that they do make sense, in an unsettling and often disturbing way.) Great read, thanks so much for sharing it.
Hi Geishabird: 'Had a hunch you would like this book. Confession of shallowness: I was already captivated by this refreshing, funny book, but when I read about Moran's time at Melody Maker, I was really hooked. I had never heard of Ms. Moran 'til I picked the book up, but now I am quite in love with her. 'Waiting (impatiently) for her next book.
Bringing to the meetup tonight to see if anyone else would like to read it...

Ok, after 2 such glowing reviews, how could I resist?

Yikes. Well, once again I seem to be marching to a different drummer. I couldn't make it through the prologue. Just not my thing, I guess. Different sense of humour, maybe no sense of humour (talking about me, that is)? Don't know.
Anyhow, I'll save this one for our mass release at Word on the Street.
