A pleasant enough story but nothing world-shattering happens. That's probably the point. I suppose that's the reason Alexander McCall Smith is so popular. I enjoyed it, but it's highly forgettable.

I found this book on the convention in Mainz and was very delighted because I like the series of Alexander McCall Smith so much. They are easy to read and understand and especially the series playing in Edinburgh are a wonderful reading, because I love this gorgeous City.
