Left on a bench.

Today is Easter Sunday and I decided to go with my children to a quaint little village called Cockington in Devon. Whilst the kids were off doing an Easter egg hunt, I was playing with my granddaughter in the rose gardens, when I spotted this book left sat all lonely on a bench. I picked it up and saw it was called Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. I thought a child had left it or something, but there was no one around. then I noticed the label on the front and realised that someone may have left this for me to find, read and leave for someone else. I will read this classic tonight to my daughter in bed and then tomorrow I will leave for someone else to take it and read it.

This is the loveliest of ideas and I think its a great way for people to appreciate literature.

I left it in the booth at the polling station when I went to vote. I packed it away in a clear water proof bag (as the weather had been shocking) asking for someone to take me, read me and pass me on again. I hope the next reader picks this up and reads it and enjoys it as much as I did.
