I got this slightly-battered paperback from a Goodwill shop. It's one of Fraser's "Jemima Shore" books, about a TV reporter who winds up investigating crimes. Here, the confession of a dying nun about substituting a baby twenty years before triggers the investigation - it seems the child, now a young man attending Oxford, is the heir to a noble house, and if it comes out that he isn't really his father's son things could get sticky.
While the Oxford setting and the general premise were interesting, I just couldn't get into the writing style; while I've enjoyed some of Fraser's non-fiction, this book felt too blatantly chatty, more flash than substance. But perhaps someone else will enjoy it!
