Just recieved this book today in the mail!! Thank you Bilbi!!! It is going to be the next book on the list to read. Can't wait to start it.
I just finished reading this book at work today. What a quick read too!! It is about a ship, the Batavia, that foundered on the way to the the West Indies, and how Jeronimus Cornelisz takes command of the survivors of the wreck, with murder, mutiny and rape.

What a surprise, I love books and even better I love them when they are free.
Found the book in the park when out for a walk.Thought someone forgot their book. And being a past used book store owner, I couldn't walk by and leave it. Both my husband and I plan on reading it before we pass it on.

While on vacation my son found the book on a park bench in downtown St. John New Brunswich. I have brought the book back to Ontario and will release it here.
