I somehow missed this one when I was a kid, but I'm glad I've finally caught up to it!

One of Nate Twitchell's hens lays an enormous egg..and what finally comes out is a surprise to almost everyone!

This was my New Hampshire read (7/51) for NancyNova's 2015 MultiYear States Challenge: one funny bit is when Nate is looking at the Jefferson Memorial. He says, "I think they said the marble came from Vermont, but I liked it anyway." - I bet that's specifically to emphasize that Nate is from New Hampshire. ;)
