Moon Over Soho: 2 (Rivers of London 2)
9 journalers for this copy...
I did not know in which genre to put that novel as it is a mix of crime, fantasy and surely written for young adults, although I find some of the sex-scenes are pretty torrid for a teen readership. But perhaps, I am too old-fashioned . Anyway, it is a very entertaining read with a surprisingly dense plot and a lot of humour.

A gripping tale of murders, magic and investigating. And jazz, let's not forget the jazz.
I loved this book (better than the first one). A slow starts, but it builds up and I just couldn't put it down. I had a sleepless night going through it. Time for some sleep now...

Seemed slow, too slow for me, somehow. Felt like nothing was happening, except sex. When in Peter Grant's world that, too, is far from normal. I'm glad I had the third volume ready, because it was much better and kept me wanting to read more.

This has arrived safely in the Swiss Alps, thanks so much - and thanks for the lovely cards! I hope to get to this soon, but this is a very busy time for me workwise, so this might take longer than hoped. Thank you for making this series available.

This is here as part of a bookcrossing spiral, and I'm very glad of it. A few years ago I got the last in the series as a present, and as I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to series, I put it on the TBR shelf... with no clear idea when I'd pick it up. For this reason I was very happy to see the series offered as a spiral and signed up without hesitation.
While reading this, I veered between grinning, chuckling and laughing out loud at numerous junctures in the story. A bit of a jazz aficionado (aficianada?) myself (although more enthusiastic than knowledgeable), I appreciated that aspect of the story, but just found Aaronovitch's prose witty and colorful. Grant is a worthy protagonist, and I look forward to continuing the series.
I've written for the next address... Thanks for this and happy holidays to all!

I've enjoyed this book today in the sun and I've enjoyed it even better than the first one. Had fun and looking forward to the third installment. I do not agree with the original registerer. I don't think this is a book for young adults. Nice to know that the author also wrote for Doctor Who, which I love. I'll get season eleven on DVD on the 26th of June, so I'll have something to do on my birthday.
I've sent catflap a PM today.

I confess I had this book a little while longer than I intended. I have had a reading block. I have also had a knitting/sew/craft block I believe that covid related, I've not had it I work in a hospital, I just get to see a lot of it. I am not alone in the not being able to do anything.
Anyway back to the book I really enjoyed it. It has a sense of humour as well as a plot. I did end up reading some out loud to my husband. I would recommend this series to others and I am grateful that I have been included by the organisers of this ring.

This was the third in the series. I am really getting into these. I have given this to one of the department’s bookworms. She may well convert to Bookcrossing next.
I’m looking forward to the next in the series which I know is already getting ready for shipping.
