I got this rather battered ex-library softcover from Better World Books. It's about a girl who's the only survivor of a vampire's attack on her school - though her survival is *as* a vampire, something she struggles against...

She has a raven sidekick, a very nasty vampire-sire (unless her actual sire is not the one she thinks it is), and an urge to protect people from the more dangerous vampires, which results in a kind of walking-the-earth storyline. But once we begin to see more and more vampires - and to hear different versions of the story behind the school massacre that left Canon as a vampire - the more complex the plot sounds.

I plan to leave this book on the book-swap shelf in the Tyngsboro post office lobby at around 11:30 on this {gulp!} snowy day. Hope the finder enjoys it!
