I love Zimmern's show about him travelling and eating his way around the world. I didn't know he wrote a book but when I saw it at the library book sale I do not hesitate to gobble it up.

I enjoyed this book tremendously. I love his TV show, and this book lets me delve in deeper, kind of a behind-the-scene look. It's great to learn that we share passion for some food, though I honestly can't see myself eating a puffin. It also gives me a better understanding of the author. While his adventures are fun to read, I find myself liking him more because of his attitude and outlook to life. He consider himself a traveler, not a tourist, and he has great respect for the people and cultures he visits. In other words, he's not out there to prove his bravado by eating scary insects, he's a genuinely nice guy interested to learn more about other cultures with an open heart. If there were more people like him, I think this world will be a more peaceful place!!
