An old man has his skull broken on a winter's night. His six-year-old granddaughter finds him and refuses to speak a single word afterwards. Raffael Horn, a psychologist engaged to treat the child, becomes reluctantly involved in solving the crime.

So it was okay. It wasn't as good as I expected but I continued reading it to the end. Not much else to say about it really.

A rural town in Austria. Horn, the psychologist. Kovacs, the policeman. A very disturbed priest. A boy whose psychopathic brother tortures him into violence. A small girl who will no longer speak. And an old man whose head has been crushed. Took a while to get into but I ended up enjoying it.
