Pre-numbered label used for registration. Picked up used to be released. Keith Landry is forced into an early retirement and moves back to the town where he grew up. There, he runs into his high school sweetheart and college lover (back of the book's words, not mine) and her husband -- high school bully, Landry's rival for the girl's attentions, and now police chief, not to mention jealous and possessive. Sounds like fiction with a bit of romance tossed in, but the blurbs on the back call it suspensful and a thriller.
