From the Back Cover
A man with no name. A man with no memory. A man with no choice. An unidentified corpse is recovered from a Lewis peat bog; the only clue to its identity being a DNA sibling match to a local farmer. But this islander, Tormod Macdonald - now an elderly man suffering from dementia - has always claimed to be an only child. When Tormod's family approach Fin Macleod for help, Fin feels duty-bound to solve the mystery.

About the Author
Enjoyed this second installment of the trilogy. Peter May has created an interesting character in Fin Macleod. Hopefully he continues with more books.

Received a lovely themed book parcel, a week ago, thank you so much Ardachy and Cassiopaeia :)
These will be read - hopefully - and released during 'the season' next year.
A most fitting book to include in the box. I read, and enjoyed, the trilogy before moving here... must read it again!

What a lovely find! I have started reading this book and is really really good. And it is set in all the places my wife and I visited on an amazing holiday in Outer Hebrides. And also set in the same part of Edinburgh where I lived a few years which is a coincidence to say the least!
