Purchased at Miami's library book sale for BookCrossing.
The birth of Jesus has been well chronicled, as have his glorious teachings, acts, and divine sacrifice after his thirtieth birthday. But no one knows about the early life of the Son of God, the missing years -- except Biff, the Messiah's best bud, who has been resurrected to tell the story in the divinely hilarious yet heartfelt work "reminiscent of Vonnegut and Douglas Adams" (Philadelphia Inquirer).
This book had me laughing out loud in many places, about the origin of Judo, or when Biff exclaims "Oh what amazing grace!" when Maggie slaps Joshua, and other places where Moore cleverly works in famous Biblical phrases. It most certainly "contaminated" my view of bible and I can't from now on hear Biblical stories and quotes without remembering Biff's version and having to suppress a wry giggle.

Another book that I never meant to keep so long (as they say, too many books, not enough time to read). I chose this book because it is on samid's wishlist and I plan to send it during Bookcrossing's HGG (holiday gift giving). I read the prologue and stopped. JESUS is my savior. I just cannot read somebody poking fun at the BIBLE. I just can't.
