I'm sure this is an interesting subject, but what a dull cover!

The dull cover is due to the book being an academic book on the subject of librarians. Tried to jump over the boring bits, but in the end there were too many... Would like to read a less-scientific book about the subject, if the writer ever writes one.

Happy Birthday to another not-ordinary librarian!

Oh dear... I'm not sure what shocks me more; that this book is not written in the 80s after all (as the 'old and prudish lady' -stereotype makes you assume) or that someone actually bothered to write an academic study about "perceptions of librarians"! Just when you think you've seen everything...

Read bits here and there. The analysis of librarians in movies is sort of interesting, especially as there's a current Finnish film that fits the stereotype perfectly; how a quiet, boring librarian (yes, with glasses and dull brown hair - probably "sensible shoes" too!) who's never had the guts to do anything brave in her life, suddenly becomes a bikini fitness star. Oh dear.

Also, I honestly had no idea that "sexy librarians" is a real thing in erotic literature. I will start looking for the title "Horny Peeping Librarian" first thing at work tomorrow!

Moving on to the next (possible) reader...
