Miss Tabitha Henshaw has thirty cats and Sarah loves to visit her. But an angry neighbor complains to the town council and Miss Tabitha's cats must go. Perhaps they can find homes for the cats.

This book was written in 1965, long before spaying and neutering cats was strongly encouraged. The cats in this book are having kittens, but strays are also attracted to the cat-loving old lady. The thing that I found unacceptable in this book was the premise that a cat could be evil. Apparently, there was a wild black cat that was leading the lady's cats astray at night, and they were roaming the town bothering the townspeople. If the town could catch the evil black cat, the other cats would not be led astray. This is not the way cats are. Wild cats are not evil cats so I could not thoroughly enjoy the book.
