Received from rainbow3 as part of a Halloween package. This book was meant for Mr Flutterbies9 and he may get it yet (after me!).
December 5.
I really enjoyed the construct of the book which though obviously written for a teen audience, is a complex plot which would keep many an adult on their toes as well! The lead character is as adept at removing himself from trouble as he is at wading into it in the first place without fully thinking things through but it does make his character very much of a teenager. Some of the concepts were difficult enough for an adult to cope with and I can see this appealing to a younger audience just starting on more complex plotting with historical backgrounds. I did like the Scottish words strewn around in the text and the odd piece of Gaelic woven into the narrative where it fitted too. I had not used a few of these for such a long time but I am reminded of just how apt they are when rereading them again.
I did enjoy this book and hope Mr Flutterbies9 does too.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:
Another which deserves to be more widely read and out in the world rather than locked in my library tower. I cannot recall whether Mr Flutterbies9 did read this or not but he did say that it could go so off on a travel now.
Happy travels little book.
