Our new splinter book group choice, looks like fun :)
(05/12/14) An interesting cutesy book about a boy (autistic/aspergers?) and his imaginary friend, an adventure, and a nice twist at the end. I'm not sure this will sustain us for the whole book group, but its the pre-Christmas meet so, hey-ho!
There are some nice observations about teachers (teaching vs. 'playing school'), parents, and what its like to be different. I'm not sure Green quite hit the attempted philosophy about the nature of existence, although Budo et al provided a unique perspective on what life and living really means.
And finally, a quote, Mrs. Patterson, '..dipping her voice into water to see how cold it is'
