"Nothing links person to person like the frequent passage from hand to hand of a good book."
This is an engaging read about the author's travels through Yellowstone National Park, one of my very favorite places. He's a good travel writer, maybe not such a great humorist. So read it for the travel. I like that he muses about a lot of things, scientific and otherwise, as I often do when visiting a place like Yellowstone.
Another one of his books that I enjoyed is "Pass the Butterworms" about his travels in Mongolia.
A wandering book -- the karma of literature!
