Bought this for inspiration for my Creative Writing Project at University. We can choose any books to quote from, as long as we draw inspiration of some sort from the books to shape the stories we include in our project.

I have bought a lot of books, and very much doubt I will be able to read them all. However I will give a good crack at it, and hopefully draw perfect inspiration from the ones I do read.

Blurb: On the make. On the scent. On the edge. ON THE PROWL...

Alpha and Omega by Patricia Briggs
The werewolf Anna finds a new sense of self when the son of the werewolf King comes to town to quell unrest in the Chicago pack - and inspires a power in Anna that she's never felt before.

Inhuman by Eileen Wilks
Kai has a secret gift of sensing thoughts and desires. What she senses in her neighbor Nathan could be dangerous. Because he has a secret gift, too, and it's about to be let loose.

Buying Trouble by Karen Chance
In a New York auction house, a Lord of the Fey crosses paths with a fiery red-headed mage named Claire. But in this strange underground society, the rarity up for sale is Claire herself.

Mona Lisa Betwining by Sunny
Among the children of the moon, Mona Lisa is of Mixed Blood - part Monère, part human, and destined to be alone. Then she meets a man who could be her salvation - or her downfall.

A great short story collection. By some great authors that are definitely paving the way for werewolves at the moment. I hope these authors continue to be successful.

Alpha and Omega - Particia Briggs
Another amazing story from the author, is there not a piece of published writing by her that I don't find gripping? She brings in this whole new concept that knocks me sidewards and I'm extremely eager to know more about this omega wolf, and how rare it is to find one... Anna and Charles make a brilliant couple and I can't wait to see how their relationship develops... Nice to see an appearance from Bran, the Marrok, too which coincides nicely with her other series that I've been reading... I am definitely getting the next books in this series as this is one series I'm not going to forget (5/5)

Inhuman - Eileen Wilks
Well this is the biggest short story in this book and definitely slow going but interesting nonetheless... I am aware that this is like book 3.5 in the series and so it makes sense that it doesn't make sense haha but at the same time I commend Eileen Wilks for attempting to give us the information we needed to understand the concept and idea behind this story and yet it falls flat slightly due to me not having read the previous books. Maybe some more understanding is needed to be added as at times I found it hard to follow. However I would give this series a chance as it's definitely intriguing. Yet I'm not rushing out to buy this series, and I will probably forget all about Kai and Nathan soon. I think there was a lot of unneeded information too. Like why did I need to know unicorns were real and yet not real and the person stating that didn't understand it either. Overall definitely intriguing and I would be interested in reading the first book... I just hope it's not as fully loaded with information as this one was. (3/5)

Buying Trouble - Karen Chance
Karen Chance, Karen Chance, Karen Chance... What to say about this author...? Well she is one of the only authors on my favourite list that I've never read a book from, I don't get how that has happened but when I see a book by her, I just have to get it... Only then to never get around to reading it hahaha, and now I've finally read a story from her, and she just made herself more of a favourite of mine.... The fey are confusing, everyone has to admit that right? I never quite understand them because they're always different in each book, they also don't have a well known presence. And yet Karen Chance perfectly explains them in her interpretation, not giving us too much and not giving us too less. She gives us just about right. The scenic visuals her writing delivers of the fey world is beautiful and full of imagery. I can't fault this story, and the ending did get me worried although she could have built up suspense. I love the relationship between Claire and Heidar, and the only thing that saddens me about this story is that there isn't a sequel and so I can't follow up on how they're doing. (5/5)

Mona Lisa Betwining - Sunny
I didn't like this one that much, I think it was because I was missing so much due to it being part of a series of novels and the author failed to give us the information we needed to understand this story. I didn't get it, I didn't understand it, and I got confused easily. Although it was kind of engaging (1.5/5)
