I just love Anne's optimistic view of life. She needs it in her first few years of marriage. Her house is lovely and the people she meets are unique to most of the other people that have graced her life. The challenge she has in befriending Leslie Moore is one of her toughest but she does it. This book is more sombre with darker tones than the rest of the Anne books but I liked it.
