Picked this up at the Book Thing of Baltimore.

I read this book in 1994 or 1995 when I was in middle school. I remember that I really enjoyed this look at two boys dealing with the culture of apartheid in South Africa. I found the situation easier to understand through their struggles in this book.

An interesting read that made me wonder about how a relatively peaceful transition was achieved: with all the emotions on both sides, that was a tricky thing to pull off!

This is my South Africa read for the 2018 version of kiwiinengland's 666 challenge.
