I really enjoyed this book about England and the clash of cultures and generations.

From the cover blurb: 'A funny, generous, big-hearted novel, White Teeth deals with - among mamu other things - friendship, love, war, three cultures and three families over three generations, one brown mouse, and the tricky way the past has of coming back and biting you on the ankle. It's a life-affirming, riotous, must-read book.'

Got it. I hope to get to this book soon, but I have another bookring before this.

Journal Entry 8 by RoryG from Bluemont, Virginia USA on Friday, January 14, 2005
It took me a bit longer to read this than I originally thought. This wasn't only because of the book, but also because of some sudden changes in my life including moving to another apartment. Also the book wasn't such a quick read since there was a lot of details and characters. I really enjoyed the book though. It wasn't one of those books that you're just dying to know what happens in the end, but it was entertaining and it sticks out from the masses.

Well, I'll send the book on it's way as soon as I get the next person's address.

One year of no journal entries can only make a person wonder if this book is lost. The Lost Book Island welcomes this book to our shores in hopes that all it needs is a little rest and relaxation in order to regain its organized bookring travels.

Here at the Lost Book Island this book will have the opportunity to sip cool drinks in the shade of tall palm trees or build sand castles on the beach. If night life is the preference this book can choose from many different themed clubs or take in some entertaining shows.

It is hoped that one day soon this book will check in once more with a journal entry and that it will get the opportunity to continue on its travels.
