Fantastic romantic tale. Jane is a heroine for the ages. She is an intelligent, independently thinking young girl in a society that represses women. The love affair is opposite of our typical Hollywood scene. Neither Jane nor her Rochester are physically attractive and Jane is orphaned and destitute. And the ending is NOT all roses and bluebirds.
