Received with thanks from Daemonwolf - looking forward to reading this.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Found myself laughing out loud at some points, which rather annoyed my husband! But also thought parts of it were quite sad - his 'accidental cult' took over his life for a while.

Just started to read this, encouraging so far.
What a daft yet wonderful book. The author certainly has a screw or two loose, but the world needs more like him. Very enjoyable and quick to read.

This was a really funny and touching book, made me want to immediately go out and do nice things. Danny was slightly frustrating at times but the book was well written, had me laugh out loud a few times and I could not put it down. All signs of a good book! Will be sent on to the next person as soon as possible!

Journal Entry 11 by kuju from -- Somewhere in London 🤷‍♀️ , Greater London United Kingdom on Sunday, April 18, 2004
Received Join Me yesterday and so far it is maddly addictive. It has been quite hard to put down!! It immediately jumped the queue in front of the book I was currenlty reading!!
Received from the lovely Kuju, complete with scrummy chocolate too, which makes her my new favourite person in the world!
After seeing Dave Gorman live this year I'm looking forward to reading Danny Wallace's adventure.
PS - scarfed the chocolate immediately. It was fabulous.

Just received this in the post today. Gonna have to be second on my list to read as I just received another bookring over the weekend and i've started to read that. Looking forward to reading it though. :-)
JOIN ME! What a fantastic idea. At the start of the book I was a little sceptical of his "collective" but by the end his idea, and story of his journey, had touched me. Such a fantastic idea and a great pleasure to read. I found myself laughing out loud quite a lot - would definitely recommend this book to all bookcrossers.
I might even become a joinee myself :-)
Gonna send this on its merry way to Mytilusgirl next.

I'm back, I'm back (unfortunately), however, alleviating the gloom, doom and general despair attendant apon my return to real life was the sight of a couple of packages sitting expectantly in my pigeon hole, of which Join Me was one. Yay!
Interestingly, I found the first couple of chapters a real drag. I could see where Wallace's sense of humour was coming from, but it felt too laboured, which really irritated me.
But then (and I have no idea why) there I was, racing to finish the book to find out what happened. And what a super book it is too.
I *love* the whole idea of a cult, sorry, collective doing collective good. It's just such a shame he lost his girlfriend as a result, although I must admit that I did feel like shaking her and telling her to get a grip.
I'd just like to say thank you to camis for making this hysterical book a ring.
The book's en route to Menita as we speak.
And me? Well, I'm off into town to get some passport photos done...

And finished! Wow, hilarious! But I just kept on wondering why on earth I never heard from 'join me' before?!! Normally I'm quit keen on these things, but well... So I'll join ASAP! I will send it ASAP as well to Amaradevinmom.

recevied today. Have a two books in front of it but it will be read and set out by the first of December
This book was great. Parts of it were to funny. I was glad when his girlffriend broke up with him. While it was sad for him at least he could then be himself. :) This was interesting to see how something that you don't even mean to can have such a big impact on others.
Am waiting for address of next person then will send it out.
