I picked this up at the library book sale.
This is going out as part of the audio book box.
Thank you. I love biographies for long car trips.
Interesting, but limited in scope because it's strictly about the son's experience of Ray Charles as a father and not so much about Ray's career and artistry. Still, a poignant story worth telling.
Offered up for our Audio CD VBB.
Headed off to WI, now, after being claimed from our Big John Lefty Memorial Audio VBB. Enjoy!
This audiobook has made it to Wisconsin. Thanks for sending it my way.
I really enjoyed this biography. It was more about Ray Charles Jr.'s experiences with his Dad but it did also went into Ray Charles early boyhood life and his climb to fame. The listener got to hear very personal stories about Ray as a father, his relationships, his strengths and weaknesses. This also describes Ray and Ray Jr.'s battle with addiction. I thought it a limited but honest and respectful memoir of a music giant and the effect fame has on a family.
I am putting this book into the "restart" of HI77's Audiobook box. Happy Travels!
Taking this out of the audiobook box to enjoy. Thank you!
