Gap Creek: The Story of a Marriage
2 journalers for this copy...

I like reading southern literature. Gap Creek tells the story of Hank and Julie and their struggle to eke out an existence on an electricity-free farm in rural North Caroline at the turn of the 20th century.
This book was given to me by another southern reader. I almost didn't take it, but ultimately was glad I did. It ended up being one of Oprah's books as well. It apparently is the follow-up to The Truest Pleasure, which I've never read, so it does stand alone just fine.

In the snacks and soda aisle. It may not be about the superbowl, or sports, but this book is set in Carolina (as are the Panthers) and I figure that's close enough to be released on Superbowl Sunday.

Found this book on a hostel free book shelf in Alsace-Lorraine. Weird thing is it's about my state and the book label has my hometown on it, so I decided to tote it back with me and leave it somewhere in SC. Thanks for the read.

Left this at Coffee Underground.
