Lina has been in care all her life, but when she comes across a page from a rare 16th century book that she remembers from early childhood, she snaps up the chance to buy it. If she can locate the rest of the book, maybe she can find her father. But in the ensuing weeks a series of burglaries and attacks occur. What has Lina uncovered?

An okay story listened to on our drives round Scotland. If I'd been reading it I think I may have skimmed rather than read parts, instead as I was listening, I fell asleep! Good job I wasn't the one driving at the time..... :o)

Oh dear, hopefully this won't have the same effect on me as I will be driving. I'll add it to Mt TBR for now. Thanks for the parcel :)

Eta: disk one jumps on my player but not enough to spoil the story. Well I don't think so yet ;-)

Pleasant story. Couple of disks stuck but a wipe and a fast forward did the trick :-)

Taken out the bookbox.

This is set with a background of antiques trading and restoration, with interesting facts and characters. It had a sedate pace for a ‘thriller’ which matched the pace of life in the location it's set. It was difficult to know who were friends and who were enemies, but all were suspects, except of course for Griff! There were multiple plot twists before all is revealed but I gave up trying to work out who the villains were.

Rather than send this book back to Diane-Fraser I've taken it out & will probably donate to a charity shop. Am now up to & currently listening to book 4 in the series...which also sees me nodding off.........

Received in the post today along with several other e-books, a release bag and several b.c. labels. Thanks very much Plum. (I don't personally use e-books but have two good friends who love them, due to having sight problems. I shall be passing them on asap.)

To the finder:-
Welcome to bookcrossing -you have found a travelling book. Please make a journal entry now to say where you found the book in case it has been moved. Then, when you have read it, please come back and make a further entry saying whether or not you enjoyed the book and why. It is now yours to do as you like with it, pass it to a friend or just leave it somewhere different for someone else to find and help it with its' journey. Of course if you can't bear to part with it at the moment then keep it, but please let me know that you have found it. If you join bookcrossing, which is free and spam-free, you can follow the book on its' travels as you will get an email each time it changes hands, but if you prefer to remain anonymous, that's fine too. Please also say what you intend to do with the book next. Thanks for coming onto the site to let me know you have found the book.

I already have books travelling in many countries around the world-a list can be found on my bookcrossing profile.

When re-releasing this book please be aware that airports are not a good place to leave books unless they have a specific book exchange shelf or area, due to security problems, so they may well just be disposed of. Also charity shops may well discard books that have been labelled in any way and they mostly chose only the books in the very best condition
to place on their shelves and discard the rest-so another bad release option.

Received from Daffodil-2. Unfortunately I don't have a CD player in my car anymore so not sure when if I'll get round to this.
