Nation Maker: Sir John A. Macdonald: His Life, Our Times
3 journalers for this copy...
As good as Volume 1 - Macdonald was heroic in putting this little country on the map....but it was his wife who rode through the Rockies on a cowcatcher for about 600 miles.....John pulled the bugs out of her teeth I think.....we need a commemorative stamp for her.....or a coin - something but I can't seem to find a pic....the old leader, the old policy the old party - certainly NOT the conservatives of today in spirit....

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Dear Finder of this book: You have found a free, "travelling" book, registered with a unique ID number (and left at Harbord House Pub today). Bookcrossing is like geo-caching for books. It is free an anonymous and aims to spread the love of reading around the world. Please visit the Bookcrossing website (on the label inside the book) and make a brief Journal Entry so we know it's been found. When you are done with the book, pass it on to someone else, and help its journey continue. You can join up too, if you like. Again, Bookcrossing is free and anonymous. We aim to "make the whole world a library!"
Picked this up at the Bookcrossing Meetup today with the idea in mind of passing it on to my boyfriend who loves learning more about our history.
