Ann Cleeves' mysteries featuring Inspector Vera Stanhope are always a pleasure to read. And, for once, I think the TV drama is almost as good as the books.

Quite enjoyed this book and Ann's style of writing-very easy to read. The novel was a bit long however it had a lot more character development than most 'who-done-it' novels. There were a lot of threads that the reader was taken on and a nice surprise ending that was nicely wrapped up.
