3Sep22 Update: I picked this up at a library book sale mainly because I liked the cover. Then I read the description and thought it sounds interesting. Well I have tried several times and I cannot get into the story. I tried this morning and decided it was okay to not continue.

I LOVED this book, a nice story that overlaps 2 families and time with "Mr. Frenchman" as the connecting character. My first time reading this author who I enjoyed.

I love this author! This was a beautiful story. One of her best! Her characters are rich. You can "see" the gardens through her descriptions. I can't wait to read more from her.
