"Even The Stars Look Lonesome", by Maya Angelou is a collection of short insights into things that are important to her. The book is a quick read but deservedly warrants several readings. The prose is simple , yet profound coming from a woman who has lived through life's joys and sorrows.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
On the bookbuffé!
A book I haven't read by Maya Angelou! Lucky me :-D
I am not a liar, but I am a scatterbrain! I claimed that I had not read this book before, but.... to my excuse it is more than 10 years since I last read it.
I love Maya Angelou's prose and her view on life. It is a book I want to swallow on the one side, however, I also want it to stay with me for a long time. Thus I tried to only read a wee bit at the time, thus, the book lasted for nearly two days!!!
I don't know if I have any favourite essays, but a few of them had me googling. I have googled poems, statues, husbands you name it.
It is a book I can definitely read again, maybe I will even remember it before the 13th essay next time! It was her disappointment at the slave museum that brought back my memories of the book.
